Food Program
Every night at our Dispatch Center we provide a meal for our homeless clients.
DID YOU KNOW?
Dick's Drive Ins donated over 17,000 cheeseburgers to us in 2010. Thank you, Dick's! Our homeless, hungry friends love your burgers.
Food is supplied by Nightwatch supporters, volunteer groups, local churches, Food Lifeline, Northwest Harvest, Dick's Drive-Ins, Starbucks, and community groups, such as Kiwanis and Rotary Clubs.

Public health regulations prohibit us from serving home-prepared foods other than baked items.

United Way Support

Operation Nightwatch has received $10,000 to increase kitchen capacity from the United Way of King County.

During these tough economic times, we have seen an increase in the number of people coming to Operation Nightwatch for emergency assistance late at night.  Our crew of volunteers were having to cook for 150 – 170 hungry people using just one commercial stove.  It seriously affected our ability to care for the increasing numbers of hungry people in the community.

The United Way funds have been used to add a second gas commercial range, install a range hood, and make the needed kitchen improvements.  Some funds have been helping to underwrite volunteer coordination efforts as well.

Operation Nightwatch thanks the United Way of King County for their help with our kitchen improvements.
